We love to dance in our classroom! Movement breaks are a frequent part of our day and I love to see my students get involved and have fun! It always amazes me how much they enjoy them and how often we can sing these songs without getting tired of them! Here are my top 10 favourite songs in French to get your students up and moving!
- Tête, épaules, genoux et pieds
This classic song is so much fun with a loveable bear!
2. Je mets le doigt devant (La danse d’Hélène)
3. Les pouces en avant
This one always makes me laugh! My students have a lot of fun!
4. Le danse d’Igor
5. Que dit le renard?
This song had a lot of popularity in English and my students love the French version just as much!
6. Jean petit qui danse
This song is great to tie-in with parts of the body as well as being used as a movement song.
7. Five a Day Disco
Get ready for a little disco! This video lays out the moves so well!
8. La danse des canards
And we cannot leave out the Chicken Dance! I love the costumes in this video!
9. Lève-toi et bouge
This is a longer video (about 15 minutes) and not all the songs are in French but it is a great video for an extended movement break time.
10. Tchoutchoua
This silly clown provides some fun movement activities! Also great for parts of the body!
