Read Aloud with Madame Angel: Qu’est-ce qui se passe à la plage?

Wow! The end of the school year is near!

I live in an area full of beaches and I love to do a beach theme to end off our year! I find that this time of year my students are fairly proficient writers but we all know that sometimes creating sentences in the negative can pose a challenge. I wrote “Qu’est-ce qui se passe à la plage?” to help my students not only review some French beach and summer vocabulary but also to practice forming the negative!

This book is structured in such a way that each page has students doing an activity at the beach, followed by something they do not do at the beach! The package features a Full page format that you can bind and make into a “Big Book” for Read Alouds! This book goes into our reading center and I guarantee it will quickly become a class favourite!

As with all of my Emergent Reader packages, I have also included smaller half page black and white version! This is great for using in your book boxes, as a colouring booklet or to send home for your home reading program. There are two versions – one with the images to colour and the second with the images left off for students to draw in themselves!

And, if you have been following me for any length of time, you know that I love to create class books! Student created books are a great way for everyone to work together to contribute and demonstrate their knowledge! “Qu’est-ce qui se passe à la plage?” comes with everything you need to create your own class book! A cover page in black and a template page for students to create their own.

You can purchase this book directly from our Teaching French Immersion store.

It is also available at La classe de Madame Angel on Teachers Pay Teachers.
